Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra
Since 1981, Philharmonia Baroque has delighted audiences with its historically informed performance of Baroque, Classical, and early-Romantic music on original instruments. Under Music Director Nicholas McGegan, Philharmonia was named Musical America’s 2004 Ensemble of the Year, and, according to the Los Angeles Times, has become “an ensemble for early music as fine as any in the world today.”

Joined by acclaimed mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, they celebrate the 350th birthday of English composer Henry Purcell with an all Purcell program, including:
  • The Tempest (excerpts)
  • Chacony in G Minor
  • Suite from Abdelazer
  • Dido and Aeneas
