Rapping across language and other borders, Indonesia’s foremost hip hop crew stands squarely in the cultural cross-hairs. This sharp Javanese collective from Yogyakarta promotes tolerance and pluralism while taking on corruption and inequality with wit and hooks that meld global and indigenous trance rhythms, Indonesian pop and gamelan music, traditional Javanese poetry and literature.
