One of jazz’s hottest talents, saxophonist/composer Miguel Zenón won a prestigious “Genius” fellowship from the MacArthur Foundation, which praises his “mastery of old and new jazz idioms, from Afro-Caribbean and Latin American rhythmical concepts to free and avant-garde jazz.”
