Dan Flanagan currently serves as concertmaster of the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, lecturer in violin at UC Davis, coach and adjudicator for the Sacramento Youth Symphony, concertmaster for California Musical Theater, and founder and director of the Sacramento School of Music. Michael Sand is a founding member and first musical director of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra of San Francisco and director of Arcangeli Baroque Strings, a string ensemble dedicated to the concerto grosso repertoire. Together they direct this year's UC Davis Violin Festival in two unique performances, including this recital featuring Fritz Gearheart, violin, with John Cozza, piano.
