Follow the steps below to prepare your computer for the best possible Google+ Hangout experience.

  1. Create a Google+ Account.
In order to take part in a Hangout you must have a Google+ account. If you don't already have an account, follow this link to create one. For more information about signing up, refer to this video.

  2. Copy and paste the URL from your Google+ Profile page into a private message and send it to the Mondavi Center via Google+. We will then follow you and invite you to the Hangout event. On the day of the Hangout, we will use this event to share the link inviting you into the Hangout.

Follow this link for a video to help you find your Google+ Profile URL.

  3. Install the Google+ Hangout plug in.
In order to participate in a Hangout you must install the Google Voice and Video plug-in by initiating a Google+ Hangout. Once you’ve set up your account, follow this link for a video to help you install the plug in.

  4. Join the Hangout
Once you've joined the hangout, you will be muted when you enter. Please use the group chat feature to let the moderator know that you have a question for the artists.

Recommendations for the best Google Hangout experience

To provide the most stable platform for your Hangout, we recommend that you install and use Google Chrome.

Conduct a speed test before the Hangout. Visit speedtest.net and press "Begin Test" to conduct a speed test on your system. Google suggests 1 mbps/2 mbps (upload/download speed). If your connection won’t support a Google Hangout, you may watch our Hangout on YouTube. Additional help videos are here.

Headphones and a strong connection speed are recommended for a better experience. We will also stream the event through our YouTube channel, which you can watch if you would prefer not to participate online.
