You are here

From the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic the Mondavi Center has prioritized the health, safety and comfort of our patrons. We realize there will be questions about what our season will look like and we hope this list will offer you answers.

If you don’t see your question addressed here, please feel free to connect with our remote ticket office team at They are available and answering questions Monday–Friday, 1 p.m.–5 p.m.

Why are there no events in the Fall?

As the COVID-19 virus spread, it was clear that indoor gatherings of large groups would be unlikely in the fall of 2020. In addition, many of the artists booked for that time period chose to cancel or rearrange their touring plans.

Do you plan on enforcing social distancing at the Mondavi Center?

It is our belief that the Mondavi Center is not set up to adequately accommodate or enforce social or physical distancing with large crowds. This is a major factor in the decision to wait until January 2021 before commencing live programming at the Center.

How will you decide when to re-open the Mondavi Center?

We are as eager as you to get back to live performances in our beautiful performance spaces. That said, we will only return to the hall when we are certain it is safe for our audiences, artists and staff. At minimum, this means that county and state government official have approved gatherings in entertainment venues, and that our re-opening plan is vetted and approved by the UC Davis Environmental Health and Safety team.

Ticket holders will have three options in the event a performance is canceled: receive a refund; make a donation to the Mondavi Center; or receive an Event Credit on their account to use for a forthcoming 2020-21 performance.

What if I have a ticket to a show but I'm not feeling well or unable to attend?

We want to make buying tickets as easy as possible and provide ticket buyers with the certainty that your investment in the Mondavi Center is one we take seriously. To this end we have updated our exchange and refund policies for the 2020–21 season to ensure maximum flexibility, transparency and convenience.  We are able to offer you an event credit for any performance in the same season. You may also donate your tickets as a tax-deductible donation to the Mondavi Center.

We ask that if you or anyone in your party are experiencing symptoms or have come into contact with anyone who is sick that you please stay home.

What If I don’t feel comfortable renewing or attending performances?

While we will do all we can to ensure a safe environment upon reopening, we understand that this is a time of great uncertainty, and there are many concerns about returning to group settings. If you choose not to renew your subscription for the 2020–21 Season, please contact the Ticket Office to discuss your options.
