Founded in 1943, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra has performed under the baton of Russia’s finest conductors, including Kondreahin, Rozhdestvensky, Svetlanov, Gergiev, and Jansons. Under the current direction of maestro Pavel Kogan, the MSSO has reached international prominence as an ensemble of remarkable nuance, burnished sound, and powerful intensity.
