Pianist and conductor Vladimir Feltsman is one of the most versatile and commanding musicians of our time. Feltsman returns to the Mondavi Center to embark on a three-year project—Connections, Influences and Inspirations—featuring an annual performance that explores the ways in which some of the greatest composers for the keyboard drew on the work of those who came before. This first performance of the project will focus on the work of Bach, Beethoven and Chopin.
Bach: Partita No. 1 in B-flat Major, BWV 825
Beethoven: Sonata No. 8 in C Minor, op. 13 (“Pathétique”)
Chopin: The Four Ballades
