Bokanté is a world-music supergroup founded by Michael League (of Snarky Puppy) and Malika Tirolien, who is originally from the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. Singing in both Creole and French, Tirolien’s words draw nuanced pictures of the struggles we face in our world today—racism, the refugee crisis, a dying planet, apathy towards human suffering—and offer thankfulness for those things that unify us, as well as provide hope for the future of our race. As League describes the group, “In combining our different accents I feel that there is a strangely common and poignant sound, one that can reach and relate to listeners around the world.”

Alcoholic beverages in approved cups and other beverages in plastic bottles purchased from our vendors are allowed into the hall during this performance.
