Itzhak Perlman visits the Mondavi Center with his friend, pianist Rohan De Silva, for an evening of stories and music. While Perlman’s sold-out recitals have been delighting local audiences for more than a decade, this evening will be different – an opportunity to get to know the man behind the music as he speaks from the stage, illustrating his stories with music and multimedia. Classical music’s most prominent ambassador, Perlman has been granted a Kennedy Center Honor, a National Medal of Arts, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Nation’s highest civilian honor, by President Barack Obama.
