Friday, April 17, 2020 - 8:00pm
Sunday, April 19, 2020 - 2:00pm

Lauded by The Washington Post as “revitalizing the world of contemporary music” and “a bombshell of raw-talent” by contemporary music tastemakers I Care if You Listen, Sandbox Percussion has established themselves as a leading force in this generation of contemporary percussion chamber music. Brought together by their love of chamber music and the simple joy of playing together, Sandbox Percussion captivates audiences with performances that are stunning. Through compelling collaborations with composers and performers, Sandbox seeks to engage a wider audience for classical music.

These two performances will feature two works by composer Andy Akiho:

Karakurenai (featuring student performers from Percussion Group Davis, CSUS Percussion Group, Natomas Charter High School and Consumnes Oaks High School)

Seven Pillars (world premiere)

Alcoholic beverages in approved cups and other beverages in plastic bottles purchased from our vendors are allowed into the hall during this performance.
