Mr. Younge appeared earlier this year at the Mondavi Center when he discussed his book "Another Day in the Death of America: A Chronicle of Ten Short Lives" as part of the Campus Community Book Project.
Gary Younge is an award-winning author, broadcaster and a Professor of Sociology at the University of Manchester in England.
Formerly a columnist at The Guardian, he is an editorial board member of The Nation magazine and the Alfred Knobler Fellow at Type Media Center.
He has written five books, the most recent of which, "Another Day in the Death of America: A Chronicle of Ten Short Lives", won the J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize and was chosen for the 2019-2020 UC Davis Campus Community Book Project.
He has also written for The New York Review of Books, Granta, The Washington Post, GQ, The Financial Times and The New Statesman and made several radio and television documentaries on subjects ranging from gay marriage to Brexit. He lives in London, England.
