This Fandango Fronterizo Festival inspired Grammy-winning musician and composer Arturo O’Farrill to launch a three-part project (album, book and film) under the title Fandango at the Wall to explore the close connections between Mexico and the United States. For this concert O’Farrill and his special guests tear down musical walls, exploring jazz, classical, Broadway, hip hop and son jarocho.

Cada año desde 2008, cerca del Día de Conmemoración de los Caídos, se produce una sesión de jam transnacional en ambos lados de la frontera Tijuana-San Diego. Este festival Fandango Fronterizo inspiró al músico y compositor Arturo O’Farrill, ganador de los premios Grammy, a lanzar un proyecto de tres partes (álbum, libro y película) con el título Fandango at the Wall para explorar las estrechas relaciones entre México y los Estados Unidos. Para este concierto, O’Farrill y sus invitados especiales rompen barreras musicales, explorando el jazz, la música clásica, el estilo Broadway, el hip hop y el son jarocho.
