India in the artist eye header

A YEAR-LONG FESTIVAL CELEBRATING AND INTERROGATING THE ROLE OF THE ARTIST IN SHAPING OUR UNDERSTANDING AND RECEPTION OF INDIA.

The festival gathers artists from India and the United States, and will showcase a range of artistic sensibilities. Academic lectures by distinguished scholars, music, expressive arts, photography, and film representing the diversity of the Indian subcontinent come together to open a dialog about artists and with artists about what it means to be an ‘Indian artist’ and how India emerges with(in) the eye of the artist.
