This year’s Focus on Film series presents three films that coordinate with the Campus Community Book Project’s theme of gun violence. First in the series is the landmark film Bonnie and Clyde, regarded as one of the first films of the New Hollywood era because it broke many cinematic taboos and was popular with the younger generation.

Loosely based on a true story, Badlands is often cited by film critics as one of the greatest and most influential films of all time.

This year’s Focus on Film series presents three films that coordinate with the Campus Community Book Project’s theme of gun violence. The third in the series is the film Hell or High Water. The American Film Institute selected it as one of its ten Movies of the Year, and it was nominated for numerous awards, including four Oscars.
