Mondavi Center Presents
Charlie Hunter and
Ella Feingold Trio
Vanderhoef Studio Theatre

Guitar innovators Charlie Hunter and Ella Feingold join forces for an evening of musical conversation.

Hunter, renowned for his custom seven- and eight-string guitars, weaves bass lines, melody and harmony into a single, seamless voice. Feingold, whose dynamic career includes work with Silk Sonic, The Roots, Erykah Badu and many others, is celebrated for her command of rhythm guitar, fluid groove and groundbreaking inverted tuning approach, bringing her own distinctive edge to the exchange.

Their project, Different Strokes for Different Folks, unfolds as an immersive dialogue shaped by rhythm, space and spontaneity. Rooted in jazz, funk and soul, this collaboration is a fluid, improvisational exchange, pushing beyond conventional structures to create something raw, immediate, and deeply immersive.
