Julian Lage Quartet
featuring John Medeski, Jorge Roeder, & Kenny Wollesen

With opener Laura Itandehui
Jackson Hall
Guitarist Julian Lage is widely acclaimed as one of the most prodigious musicians of his generation.

His latest project, Scenes from Above, features a new quartet with legendary keyboardist John Medeski and an all-star rhythm section of bassist Jorge Roeder and drummer Kenny Wolleson. Drawing inspiration from folkloric traditions, the music is warm, soulful, organic and reflects Lage’s deepening interest in writing with a band fully in mind.

Opener Laura Itandehui has emerged as one of the most authentic and forward-thinking voices in contemporary Latin music. Singer, composer, and artist from Oaxaca, Mexico her work is rooted in a deep musical exploration that blends jazz, vocal improvisation, and Latin American popular rhythms, shaped by a poetic, luminous, and distinctly personal sensibility.
